CREEMORE SPRINGS’ TRADITIONAL PILSNER

NOW AVAILABLE THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE YEAR
ON TAP AND AT LCBO

(CREEMORE, ON) – Monday, September 24, 2007 – Creemore Springs Brewery’s Traditional Pilsner, the seasonal brew recently introduced as a spring/summer seasonal in honour of the Brewery’s 20th anniversary, will now be available on a year-round basis, along with the Brewery’s flagship brand, Premium Lager.

“The response to our Traditional Pilsner has been outstanding,” says Karen Gaudino, Director of Sales and Marketing. “Demand from consumers, Creemore loyalists and premium beer lovers everywhere has been huge and continues to grow.  So after 20 years of producing only one beer on a year-round basis, we figure it is time to offer another winning brand throughout the entire year.”

Brewmaster Gordon Fuller and Creemore’s brewing team created the classic beer style similar to the original pilsners first brewed in 1842 in the Czech Republic. Their crisp, hoppy, fire-brewed interpretation has been extremely well received due to its smooth drinkability and sweet, malty character. Consumers have also been won over by the cool, portable convenience of the tall cans whose superior quality ensures the same superior taste you will find in a bottle or on tap.

Traditional Pilsner is available at select LCBO stores in 473 ml cans and on tap at a variety of eating and drinking establishments throughout the province.

“We are extremely proud of our 20 years of brewing excellence and of our latest addition to the family – Traditional Pilsner,” says Gaudino. “We are thrilled to be able to offer folks another fresh, locally-made alternative throughout the entire calendar year.”

Key testimonials from beer fans and experts (beerpal.com, bartowel.com) include:
•   “good malt base”
•   “biscuity and nice floral notes”
•   “delicate and robust”
•   “very satisfying and well balanced”
•   “mouthfeel smooth and delicate”
•   “very flavourful”

ABOUT CREEMORE SPRINGS
Established in 1987, Creemore Springs Brewery is one of the original luminaries of Ontario’s craft brewing industry. Purchased by Molson Coors in 2005, Creemore Springs, along with its original staff of brewers, continue to produce small-batch quantities of fresh-brewed, exceptional product from a converted, 19th-century hardware store on the main street of the Village of Creemore, Ontario (population 1,200). Creemore’s products are delivered bakery fresh each week by its own fleet of trucks. Since its inception, Creemore has consistently brewed one kind of beer year-round, a rich amber lager called Creemore Springs Premium Lager. In 1997, in celebration of its 10th anniversary, Creemore created urBock, a dark seasonal bock beer available from October to February. This year, in honour of its 20th anniversary, Creemore created Traditional Pilsner, a deep golden-hued beer modeled after the classic Czech beer style, with a fragrant aroma and bitter finish. Visitors are welcomed to the brewery throughout the year with beer tastings, brewery tours, a charming beer store and small town hospitality.
